Bunkers International Corp., along with its joint venture partner C.I. Vanoil is pleased to announce that the BT CARTAGENA SUN is now fully dedicated to providing bunker supply in the port of Coveñas, Colombia.

“We are very excited that the BT CARTAGENA SUN will operate in Coveñas, which is Colombia’s main crude oil port. Having the vessel available at Covenas will be of great service to our customers. Currently the ships calling the port have had little or no option for marine fuel and we are confident that our high quality, lower sulfur fuels will be of interest to our customers there.” said John Canal, President of Bunkers International Corp. “We now have the ability to service the large crude oil tankers that call Coveñas, as well as vessels calling for bunkers only.”

The BT CARTAGENA SUN is a Colombian?flagged 2012 rebuilt double?hulled tanker. She has the capacity to carry 5,500 metric tons of bunker fuel, including RMG 500 CST, RMG 380 CST, and Low Sulfur 380 CST. The vessel is fully operational and has been making deliveries regionally from its home base in Cartagena. The vessel is a purpose?built bunker tanker, equipped with a variable?pitch prop, Yokohama fenders, and pump rates up to 600 metric tons/hour. Our Low Sulfur Fuel Oil (LSFO) provides a maximum of 1.00% sulfur with viscosity of 250?300 CST, less than 200ppm of Vanadium and a CCAI of typically 820?830ppm. Our HSFO with typical sulfur of 1.5% max and Vanadium below 200ppm offers our clients a high quality option for their fueling requirements.
