Captain Nanartowich Appointed President of Mid-Atlantic Maritime Academy

Mid-Atlantic Maritime Academy’s (MAMA) CEO, Arthur Goldman, announced that Capt. Ed Nanartowich, Master has been appointed President of the school.
Captain Nanartowich joined MAMA in 2009 as an Advanced Course Instructor following his retirement as a Senior Master with the Navy’s Military Sealift Command. In March of 2011, Nanartowich was appointed Chief Operating Officer. The school, headquartered in Virginia Beach, is a state-of-the-art maritime training center for civilian and military mariners.
Nanartowich’s promotion coincides with growth and changes at MAMA. The school has formed partnerships with Northrop Grumman, ECPI University, San Jacinto College, NOVA Southeastern University, and Pacific Atlantic Professional Academy. Among several initiatives, MAMA has expanded the curriculum by offering Advanced Firefighting and vendor-specific electronic navigation.
