Strike Cuts Food and Metals Exports in Chile
A port strike in Chile has delayed the arrival of an oil tanker in the south of the country, Chile's state-run oil firm ENAP told Reuters on Friday.
The company added that the fuel delay could yield serious supply problems in the remote Los Lagos region, far from the mining powerhouse's massive copper deposits.
Several Chilean ports are on strike, curbing metal, fruit and other shipments from the world's top copper producer.
ENAP said it was not otherwise affected by the labor action.
