The body of a crew member has been recovered from the sunken ferry Sewol on Friday. The official death toll is now 290, with 14 still missing.

Yonhap reports that a joint search team of civilian, Coast Guard and military divers found the body of a 60-year-old man, surname Kim, at the front of the third deck of the submerged ship. Kim was working in the kitchen at the time of the accident.

The search continues, and divers are expected to cut open the hull at the front of the fourth deck to gain access to unsearched compartments. The search will focus on the front of the third and fourth decks and the lobby on the fifth floor.

The 6,825-ton Sewol was carrying an estimated 476 people, mostly high school students, when it sank off the southwestern island of Jindo, South Korea, on April 16.
