Also in attendance will be U.S. Secretary of Transportation Mary E. Peters and U.S. Maritime Administrator Sean Connaughton. Honorary degrees will be presented to Kenneth DeGhetto (Livingston, NJ), past board chairman of Foster Wheeler Corp.; and George Searle (East Brunswick, NJ), major proponent of recognition for World War II merchant mariners. 213 students will graduate, including six from Republic of Panama. Valedictorian, Felix Ayarza Becerra, is a Panamanian student.
