The Web site of the Louisiana Office of Homeland Security and Emergency Preparedness provides a summary of information resources in the event of hurricanes and natural disasters that affect the state.

The Louisiana Citizen Awareness and Disaster Evacuation Guide, a six page PDF brochure, provides shelter information during hurricane evacuations, telephone numbers to obtain road closure information, family disaster supply kit list, radio stations that broadcast emergency information, telephone numbers for American Red Cross chapters in the hurricane evacuation areas, and weather terms.
