Atlantic Marine Announces Key Management Changes

Ron J. McAlear, former President and CEO of Kvaerner Philadelphia Shipyard, has been named President of Alabama Shipyard?s new construction division and Mobile?s repair facilities at the Port of Mobile.

Ed Fleming, President of Jacksonville?s Atlantic Dry Dock Corp., has assumed new responsibilities as President of Atlantic Marine Inc., the Jacksonville new construction yard. Mr. Fleming has been with Atlantic Marine for over 25 years.

Mr. Fleming replaces Ed Doherty who retired after serving as head of the Jacksonville new construction yard for the past 15 years. Art Thomas, who served the company for 30 years as project manger in Jacksonville, has also retired.

Other key appointments include the following individuals and their new positions:

For Alabama Shipyard and Atlantic Marine-Mobile: Tom Williams becomes the Vice President of Operations, and Greg Guarisco becomes the Vice President of Sales and Marketing.

For Jacksonville: Kevin Wilson becomes the Vice-President, Sales and Marketing for both Atlantic Dry Dock Corp. and Atlantic Marine, Inc.; Chuck Nugent takes over the position of Vice-President of Operations for Atlantic Marine?s new construction division, and Bob Birtalan will become Vice-President for Jacksonville?s Mayport Navy Division.
