Main responsibilities:
  • Lead Submarine Services Operations in concert with Strategic Objectives
  • Create/Manage operational action plans to meet or exceed budgeted targets
  • Lead Submarine Services Project Management activities to ensure consistent Project Management approach/execution
  • Provide leadership to the Facility Security Officer/Contracts Manager to ensure compliance with Special Security Agreement and Affiliate Operations Plan and, that export licenses are properly prepared and timely submitted to the State or Commerce Departments.
  • Lead Materials Management and Quality Inspection Departments to ensure quality products are delivered on time to our customers
  • Source low cost, high quality service and supply base to support cost-effective production activities

 

Development responsibilities:
  • Develop growth strategies for business segment in concert with Business Development resources.
  • Further develop relationships with internal and external customers (e.g., shipyards, US Navy, Coast Guard and MSC)
  • Mentor, lead and develop personnel capabilities
  • Operations and financial responsibility for a $15 million manufacturing and repair business segment
  • Oversee Quality Inspection and Materials Management activities
  • Lead Special Projects group
  • Develop strategic plan for business segment and successfully execute plan
  • Liaise at all management levels with US Government and shipyard customers
  • Determine capital expenditure requirements and prepare appropriate business cases for investment
  • Promote and enforce safe working conditions/environments both on and off site
  • Drive profitable production activities/output
  • Ensure quality products are delivered to customers
  • Develop lean business practices
  • Keep employees motivated, retained and organize appropriate training
  • Achieve high level of customer satisfaction
