US Maritime Administration will hold META Public Forum

The Maritime Administration (MARAD) will hold an open forum to solicit individual input on the Agency’s Maritime Technical and Environmental Assistance (META) Program and key environmental issues facing the maritime industry.  Input received will enable the Agency to assess the effectiveness and utility of META and will inform MARAD and Department of Transportation decision making regarding possible future research, development, and demonstration projects.

When:  The public forum will be held on Wednesday July 22, 2015 from 9am to 1pm.

Where:  The forum will be held at the Conference Center of the Maritime Institute of Technology and Graduate Studies (MITAGS), 692 Maritime Blvd, Linthicum Heights, MD 21090 (Telephone 866-656-5568).  For hotel reservations: 410-859-5700.

Who Should Attend:  Attendees should include the maritime industry, non-profit organizations, and academia.

Meeting Format:  The meeting format will consist of a description and overview of the META program (i.e. projects completed under META to date, META partnerships, etc…) followed by facilitated discussions.
