Robertshaw Joins Brightwell Payments

Brightwell Payments, an international payments platform provider with a market-leading presence in the maritime sector, today announced the appointment of Mark Robertshaw as Senior Vice President Sales and Commercial. An experienced sales and commercial leader in the maritime and offshore sectors, Robertshaw will assume responsibility for the growth of Brightwell’s business in these sectors, while taking a leadership role in the development of new market opportunities.

With more than 18 years of commercial leadership, key account management and sales experience, Robertshaw joins Brightwell from Bibby Ship Management. Headquartered in Great Britain, Bibby is a provider of specialist maritime services to shipowners. Robertshaw was Managing Director of Bibby’s Western Europe crewing operation and most recently Group Commercial Director responsible for business development, customer service, marketing, key account management and acquisitions. 

Prior to Bibby, Robertshaw spent 15 years in leadership roles with shipping and maritime interests across Asia including Managing Director of Faststream Recruitment Asia and Global Account Director for Hapag-Lloyd. Robertshaw is an active member of the growing maritime cluster in the Isle of Man where he is Vice Chairman of the Isle of Man Shipping Association. He also serves as a non-executive director to Stream Marine a maritime and offshore training provider in the UK. Robertshaw holds a Master’s Degree in International Shipping from Plymouth University.
