LOC Appoints Jerome Rutler as Group Chief Operating Officer

Leading international marine and engineering consultancy LOC Group has appointed Jerome Rutler to the newly created post of Group Chief Operating Officer.

Jerome has worked for more than 20 years in the oil & gas, petrochemicals and marine industries for a variety of companies, EPCI (engineering, procurement, construction and installation), consultancy and technical advisory. He also has extensive experience as a company director, with particular expertise in management, operations and strategy. He will be responsible for LOC’s global operations including marine assurance and risk, energy and shipping sectors.

Jerome Rutler commented:

Jerome joins LOC from Bureau Veritas where he has worked for 13 years, most recently as vice president, corporate development for the Marine, Oil and Gas division. Before that he worked as Regional CEO in South East Asia, increasing the head count from 250 to over 1000 employees.

A chartered mechanical engineer, holding dual nationality (British and French), with professional qualifications in engineering and business administration, he previously worked as a management consultant for Mckinsey & Company.
