Industry Leaders Discuss Shipping Challenges at WISTA

WISTA USA (Women’s International Shipping and Trading Association) will be holding their 2015 Annual General Meeting & Conference in New York City on Friday, May 15, 2015.  Leaders in the shipping community will gather to examine the emerging challenges facing the shipping industry.  The meeting will be held at the Seward & Kissel Conference Center.  Speakers will include Peter B. Evensen, President and CEO Teekay Corporation, who will discuss the Current Price of Crude Oil and its Impact on the Shipping Industry. The session on Cybersecurity will be lead by Captain Andrew Tucci, U.S. Coast Guard, Chief, Office of Port and Facilities, and Emilian Papadopoulos, Chief of Staff, Good Harbor Security Risk Management.  Additionally, Captain Melissa Bert, Chief of Staff, United States Coast Guard Seventh District, Nathalie Sykora, Vice President Global Technical Services at The CSL Group, Joseph Hughes, Chairman & CEO of The American Club, and Lois Zabrocky, Senior Vice President and President of the International Flag Strategic Business Unit OSG Ship Management will share their expertise on the Emerging Challenges Facing Shipping from several perspectives including insurance, regulatory compliance, and technical operations.
