IMO Goodwill Ambassador Attends Fred. Olsen Celebration
Captain Antonio M. Padrón, Technical Advisor of the DGMM and IMO Goodwill Maritime Ambassador for Spain, attended the celebration events of the 170 years of the Fred. Olsen shipping company in Cádiz.
More than 5,000 people arrived aboard the four cruise ships owned by Fred. Olsen, which coincided in this special call in Cádiz: the Boudicca, the Black Watch, the Balmoral and the Braemar.
During the day, various events were held both on board ships and in different parts of the city.
The Fred. Olsen shipping company joints its four cruise ships every four years, making a call in the same port, a celebration that, on this occasion, received the name of “The Captains in Cádiz.”
Padrón had the opportunity to meet with Fred Olsen Jr, President of Fred. Olsen Cruise Lines, as well as with the eight titular Captains of the ships that participated in the event.
The Fred. Olsen shipping company actively collaborates in the "Boarding Program for Nautical Students."
