BSM Hong Kong Goes From Strength To Strength
Bernhard Schulte Shipmanagement (BSM) is delighted to announce that it has reached the milestone of operating 50 fully managed vessels from its center in Hong Kong. This was achieved with the handover of Interlink’s MV Priority – quintupling the BSM Hong Kong fully managed fleet from just 10 vessels in early 2011 to 50 vessels in less than five years, while maintaining its portfolio of crew managed vessels.
“For BSM Hong Kong to reach the landmark figure of 50 vessels under full management within such a short period of time is a remarkable and impressive achievement. This year alone has seen the addition of 18 vessels to the Hong Kong fleet,” says Captain Norbert Aschmann, CEO of BSM. “We commend the commitment and professionalism of BSM’s Ship Management Centre in Hong Kong, which has made such a significant contribution to the growth and success of BSM as a whole.”
Further Capt. Firoze Mirza, Managing Director of BSM Hong Kong, acknowledges the trust of BSM’s customers, adding: “Customer testimonials reveal these vessel handovers have all been executed flawlessly, with continuous efficient management during the operation. The competence of our seafarers on board these vessels combined with the expertise and support from the involved shore based teams of BSM, have been instrumental to this achievement.”
As one of BSM’s very first full service centers for its customers incorporated in 1981, BSM Hong Kong is ideally placed to take advantage of the country’s key role as a global maritime center.
