Headway Invited to Hong Kong CASTEC

The only BWMS manufacturer at the conference of INTERCARGO

CASTEC, the internal meeting of ship owners, organized by INTERCARGO, was held at the Conrad hotel in Hong Kong from Mar.11st to Mar.12nd, 2013. CASTEC is held twice a year. Headway was fortunate enough to be invited to participate in the meeting this time, even more fortunate to be the only BWMS manufacturer at the conference.

A total of 25 well-known ship owners’ representatives participated in this conference, including senior top management from MOL, NYK, China Shipping, Anangel from Greece, Dreyfus, Oldendorff, Pacific Basin, Wallem, Thome, IMC, SK Shipping, Inter. Orient and Sinotrans, to whom Headway presented OceanGuard Ballast Water Management System (BWMS) in details. After the product presentation, all ship owners’ representatives actively put questions to Headway, showing great attention as well as co-operation intention. Meanwhile, a series of Headway products has won high recognition and appreciation from these well-known ship owners. 

Most of the ship owners at the conference have a long-term and stable cooperation with Headway, such as the cooperation of Ultrasonic Thickness Gauging and ship-repair services provided by NSO, the Parent Company of Headway, as well as the installations of Water Ingress Detect Alarm System, Dewatering System, VDR/S-VDR and ECDIS provided by Headway. Furthermore, Headway once provided Space Evaluation of Engine Room on board and delivered an effective BWMS installation report of the existing vessel for US ship owner -Genco Shipping. After actual inspection and verification for a long time, Headway products won the trust of ship owners. The invitation to Hong Kong CASTEC this time is not only the high recognition to Headway products, but also the high trust to the company. With this opportunity, Headway again expanded its brand influence while OceanGuard BWMS is more deeply rooted for its unique product advantage and technical advantages, making great contribution to the further expansion of the global market.
