ALMACO's Food Handling Solutions Onboard AIDA Hyperion Ships in Japan
ALMACO was awarded the contract to supply a comprehensive Food Handling package for the Galleys onboard AIDA Cruises’ two new ships to be built at Mitsubishi Heavy Industries (MHI), Nagasaki/Japan, with an expected delivery of March 2015 and 2016.
The two 124,500-tons, 3,300-passenger vessels will be the largest ever constructed for AIDA Cruises. ALMACO’s scope encompasses design, supply, delivery and commissioning of all equipment for the Galleys, Pantries, Bars and Buffets areas, the Refrigeration Plant for the Cold Stores and the Galley Refrigerators.
The refrigeration systems’ supervision will feature ALMACO R.E.M. (Refrigeration Equipment Monitoring). R.E.M. monitors and controls all refrigerated systems through a unique intuitive and user friendly interface.
