SUNY Salutes Maritime Industry Leaders at Annual Admiral's Scholarship Dinner

SUNY Maritime College recently honored maritime industry leaders Crowley Maritime Corporation, Jacksonville, FL; Shell International Trading and Shipping Company Limited (Shell Trading and Shipping), London,  and SUNY Maritime College Masters program graduate, Richard De Simone ’79 (M.S.), President, XL Insurance North America Marine, NY, at SUNY Maritime College’s annual Admiral’s Scholarship Dinner.

Rear Admiral Wendi B. Carpenter, USN (Ret.), President of SUNY Maritime College presented the awards at the event held on the college campus.  Jim Lawrence, Chairman, Marine Money, served as the Master of Ceremonies for the event that brought out more than 500 SUNY Maritime alumni, friends, faculty and staff in support of scholarships for Maritime students.   Crowley President, Chairman and CEO Tom Crowley Jr. accepted the award for his company.  SUNY Maritime College alumnus, John Krousouloudis,  General Manager, Ship Management, Shell International Trading and Shipping Company Limited, London, accepted the award for Shell International Trading and Shipping and SUNY Maritime graduate program alumnus, Richard DeSimone, president, XL Insurance North America Marine accepted on his own behalf.
