Oceania Cruises’ new flagship vessel, Marina, arrived at the Port of Miami Friday morning. The ship is the first new build for the eight-year-old company.

Around 7:30 a.m. the ship entered Government Cut to a water cannon salute. Marina is the Port of Miami’s third new build ship in just seven months. The cruise ship will be christened at the port on Saturday, February 5.

The ship was built by the Italian builder, Fincantieri, and sailed to Miami from Barcelona, Spain on January 22. The ultra-luxury ship has 15 decks full of high-end amenities, 10 restaurants and can accommodate 1,258 guests.

In 2010 the port of Miami handled 4.33 million cruise passengers, making it the busiest cruise port in the world.
