Hapag-Lloyd and Ocean Network Express (ONE) have entered into a strategic feeder network agreement.

Under the agreement, both companies will share space on their feeder services. Hapag-Lloyd and ONE have also already ushered in a new Intra-Asia service, the Bohai Feeder (BHX) in August and will further introduce a new Intra-Europe service, the North Sea Poland Express (NPX), in mid-October.

The cooperation will cover specific Intra-Europe (BAX, NBS, NPX, REX, SDX, ADX, LEX) and Intra-Asia (BHX, HAS, PID) feeder trade lanes and will be further expanded in the future.

Hapag-Lloyd and ONE also operate together within THE Alliance and cooperate on their Latin America, Africa and Indian Subcontinent trades.

In September, Hapag-Lloyd, ONE and Yang Ming announced a new cooperation with CMA-CGM, COSCO and OOCL to enhance their Mediterranean – U.S. East Coast service AL6 (Atlantic 6).

The revised service is a consolidation of the AL6 service (operated by Hapag-Lloyd, ONE and Yang Ming) and the Amerigo service (operated by COSCO, CMA-CGM and OOCL) into one larger loop with a deployment of six 8,000-TEU vessels (three by Hapag-Lloyd, ONE and Yang Ming and the remaining by CMA-CGM and OOCL). The partnership between CMA-CGM, COSCO and OOCL is slated to begin in December 2018.
