2 Dead, 6 Missing in South China Shipwreck

Two people are dead and six are still missing as the result of a shipwreck in south China's Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region earlier this week. Authorities confirmed reports as of Tuesday. The passenger vessel collided with a cargo ship loaded with porcelain clay on the Xunjiang River in Guiping city.

A reported 30 people have been rescued from the wreck, although the owner of the ship claims that the vessel’s capacity is 30. A total of 38 passengers are now being reported as the total body count onboard, but the initial claim was 29 passengers in total.

There is an ongoing search for the missing people. It is still unconfirmed on the precise amount of passengers onboard during the accident.
