For this edition of the Maritime Executive Magazine Podcast, MarEx editor-in-chief Tony Munoz spoke with Peter Hinchliffe, the former secretary general of the International Chamber of Shipping. Hinchliffe is an organizer for the first ever World Congress on Maritime Heritage, which will be held in Singapore from March 13-15 at Resorts World Sentosa's Equarius Hotel.
The World Congress on Maritime Heritage is intended to launch a coordinated industry effort to communicate the importance of maritime endeavours. Its ultimate objective is to promote a sustainable maritime future through better understanding of the past. Prominent speakers will include IMO secretary general Kitack Lim, former IMO Secretary General Dr. Koji Sekimizu, UN Special Envoy for the Ocean Peter Thomson, and Esben Poulsson, chairman of the International Chamber of Shipping.
