MPI Accepts Chancellor's Award

At Maritime Pilots Institute, we've been proud to support the pioneering efforts of Northshore Technical Community College through extensive consultation and curriculum development.

Through this work, we've met many talented and committed people, and we look forward to watching Northshore graduates go on to succeed in the Maritime field.

On August 9th, Chancellor William S. Wainwright, Ph.D. recognized MPI's collective efforts at NTCC's 2016 Convocation ceremony, hosted at Hammond's historical Columbia Theatre for the Performing Arts. Our Executive Director George Buckley accepted the 2016 Chancellor's Award and delivered some brief remarks to Northshore's instructors at their annual Convocation.

In his State of the College Address, Chancellor Wainwright discussed the importance of cultivating business and industry partnerships. We couldn't agree more.

In our field, building a reliable network through meaningful outreach is essential to lasting success. By sharing our collective expertise and experience and by nurturing talent, we make our whole industry safer and stronger.
