Marorka Lands Mideast Energy Management VLCC Fleet Contract

Mideast Ship Management Ltd, a wholly owned subsidiary of The National Shipping Company of Saudi Arabia (Bahri), has chosen Marorka, the leading energy management system provider, to deliver ship performance monitoring solutions for 26 VLCC Mideast tankers. The Marorka systems will enable crew and management to optimize their vessels' performance and consequently reduce fuel consumption and carbon emissions.

This step is in accordance with the environmental responsibility focus that flows through Mideast: the commitment to ensure that all vessels are operated with minimum risk to the environment and sea life. A commitment on this scale requires huge investment. All Bahri vessels currently have modern fuel saving technologies, use advance coatings to reduce the amount of fuel they consume, implement precautionary principles and promote the use of best environment practice.
