ECOREP-PIRIOU signs the order for a catamaran dedicated to the exploitation of the fish farm of EURL ZIZOU located in Chlef (Algeria). This unit is scheduled for delivery in June 2017 in Ténès.

First aluminum catamaran entirely built in Algeria, this vessel of 17 m length and 6.2 m breadth will be equipped with 2 x 280 CV engines and a 1.3 m at 15 m capacity crane. With a large 75 m2 deck area, this catamaran can also carry a maximum 25 t deck load. ECOREP-PIRIOU will also deliver a 10 m fiberglass support vessel designed for a flexible daily exploitation which will feature a platform for divers to operate fish larvae and facilities surveillance, as well as a hydraulic outlet to connect the food supply system.

In order to answer the challenges and strong growth of aquaculture in Algeria, ECOREPPIRIOU has simultaneously developed a complete range of 14 to 17m catamarans as well as two 7.5 to 10 m support vessels. The shipyard can also perform servicing and maintenance in its Bouharoun site.

The ECOREP-PIRIOU joint-venture is already leader in Algeria for fish boats building and repair. This first aluminum unit illustrates the opportunities and targets for development set for the joint-venture: become a naval shipyard dedicated to the building of steel, aluminum and composite vessels up to 550 tons, and the associate services.
