Danish Maritime Fair, the new international maritime exhibition on Danish ground was arranged for the first time in 2014, with more than 4.500 maritime delegates and 180 exhibiting companies.

The Fair is a part of Danish Maritime Days, and new public/private partnership with Danish Shipowners Association, Danish Maritime Authority and Danish Maritime as the three main stakeholders.

Danish Maritime Days will in 2015 take place Oct. 5.-9. and have more than 61 events announced. Three of the events will be at the same venue as Danish Maritime Fair and the program for them have just been released.

Danish Marine Group and the supplier organization Danish Maritime is behind the Danish Maritime Technology Conference, a concept focusing on the technical aspects of the business. “Drivers for Blue Growth in the Baltic Sea Region” is another large-scale conference arranged by DG Mare (Directorate-General for Maritime Affairs and Fisheries) and MDCE (Maritime Development Centre of Europe) with the focus of creating a master plan for blue growth in the Baltic Sea region.

Finally, Danish Maritime Fair and MDCE have launched a new concept, Danish Shipping & Ship Management Conferences that is three one-day conferences with focus on three themes: Tuesday 6th PEOPLE, Wednesday 7th BUSINESS and Thursday 8th it is TECHNICAL & NAUTICAL

The full program have just been launched and representatives from 9 Danish ship owner will give presentations, among other, the CEO from Scandlines Søren Poulsgaard, Ulla Eithz Nielsen, Director, CSR; Dampskibsselskabet NORDEN A/S and Peter Hawkin, HSSEQ Manager / DPA; Maersk Tankers A/S. The program is packed with interesting presentations, grouped in sections, allowing delegates to focus on subjects of interest.

An interesting fact is the price for this impressive program, only 100 EUR (111.03 USD) per day and a little less if you sign up for all three days – and that is including admission to the Danish Maritime Fair all three days.

These conferences normally comes with a steep price tag, how can this be so much cheaper? The Business Development Director for Danish Maritime Fair Jakob le Fevre explains: “Most conference organizers have the conference as the primary business and they need to create profit to keep the business running. This conference is more like a potluck supper, where everybody is contributing with what they can offer. Danish Maritime Fair have generously offered the conference facilities, all speakers are maintaining their own expenses and are not asking for payment and MDCE will only need expenses paid. This naturally creates a strong spirit between the various stake holders and I expect the conference to be a dynamic event creating food for thought and excellent networking possibilities.”
