Is your vessel in need of a little pick-me-up when it comes to its windows? If this is the case, why not try Solarglide’s SG Window Films? They’re built to protect your vessel’s windows from the usual issues like condensation, harmful solar glare and, more surprisingly, explosion threats. Your company can choose from a selection of six maritime adhesive films that are suitable for both internal and external use, and we’re happy to offer you them by the meter or by the roll. What’s more, you’ll receive them measured and cut to the size of your choosing.

All our window films come with a 10-year product warranty and are available in three roll widths: 1219mm, 1524mm or 1828mm. Each roll is around 30 meters in length and can be delivered within a day or two.

Here’s a brief guide to each of the six adhesive films and what they do:

• SG Safety Film - This one is important if your vessel consistently travels through dangerous waters internationally. The adhesive film means window glass significantly boosts in strength, creating a barrier against breakage and explosion.

• SG Solar Film - This operates best in tropical climates, resisting harmful heat and glare, reflecting it away whilst providing brilliant visibility for your crew and passengers.

• SG Combi Film - The product offers a film that combines both SG Safety anti-fragmentation film and the qualities of SG Solar film, creating a multi-purpose problem-solver.

• SG Anti Fade Film - A film specializing in the elimination of 99.5% of UV radiation. With this product, you can protect your soft-furnishings from fading due to high solar conditions. Whilst it does this, it’ll also protect your navigation equipment from overheating – a big money saver in the long run.

• SG Anti Fog Film - When glass fogs, danger sets in. Temperatures are always going to vary at sea so you need to be prepared for the worst, and that can include condensation levels building that hinders visibility. However, the Anti Fog film eradicates this, preventing the need to purchase expensive heating systems.

• SG Blackout Film - This product ensures complete and utter privacy. It blocks vessel windows from taking in light and rejects almost all solar energy. Storage rooms, cinema rooms and restricted areas will benefit massively from this.
