Pascal Ollivier Appointed French Foreign Trade Advisor

SOGET is pleased to announce that Pascal Ollivier, Director of Corporate Development has been nominated as Foreign Trade advisor by French Prime Minister Decree on August 12th 2013. Pascal, 51 years-old, holds a Master in Monetary Economics from Paris Dauphine University and a Master in Business Administration from EUA, San Francisco.

French Foreign trade advisors are business men and women, chosen for their skills, knowledge, expertise and international experience. They are appointed for 3 years by the Prime Minister under proposal of the Minister of Foreign Trade.

Pascal Ollivier is joining a more than 4000 advisors network dedicated to support France's know-how around the world. This appointment rewards his expertise and work accomplished worldwide since 1985 and at SOGET for the last 4 years. Joining SOGET in 2009, after having been advisor in international affairs to Jacques Ritt, CEO of SOGET, he is now in charge of the corporate development of the company, and also manages relationships with governments, customs and port authorities as well as international and regional organizations including the UN, the World Bank, the WCO, the Organization of American States and the European Commission.

Jacques Ritt, CEO of SOGET said "This appointment rewards Pascal's work for SOGET since 2008: at this point, the developing company has taken the way to international business. Pascal is at the origin of the contracts for the implementation of Mauritius port Single Window in 2008, in Cotonou, Benin in 2010, in Jakarta, Indonesia in 2012 and of the major contract signed this year with Port Authority of Abidjan to implement SOGET POS, the latest Port Operating System by SOGET."

As an Expert in IT and of global logistics, customs and ports, Pascal Ollivier is devoted to French know-how. His mission, as Foreign Trade advisor, is to support French economy global development. He will have to advise French Authorities; support other companies which want to export, namely small and medium sized enterprises; make students aware to international trade development. The main objective is to facilitate foreign trade and support French influence toward other countries.
