New Joint Leadership at Bomin

Effective May 1, 2014, Thomas Johannsen will join Thomas Roller as second Managing Director of Bomin BunkerHolding GmbH & Co. KG.

Thomas Johannsen will be in charge of the Bomin activities in North and Latin America, the Mediterranean, Middle East and Asia as well as for the back-to-back business. Besides this, he will be the spokesman of the Management Board of Bomin. He succeeds Julio Tellechea, Managing Director Mabanaft GmbH & Co. KG
and Executive Board member of Marquard & Bahls AG, who had been appointed Managing Director and spokesman in December 2013 for a transitional period.

Thomas Johannsen has been working for the Marquard & Bahls group since 1991. Following various positions at Oiltanking and Mabanaft, he became Managing Director at Mabanaft Deutschland GmbH & Co. KG in 2008 together with Nikolaus Gehrs. Until starting his new position with Bomin, he will continue with his current duties. A decision regarding Thomas Johannsen’s succession in the Management Board of Mabanaft Deutschland GmbH & Co. KG will be taken in the second half of 2014.

The new joint leadership, consisting of Thomas Johannsen and Thomas Roller, will further promote the integration process as well as the implementation of objectives set out in the company strategy.
