Europort Romania Celebrates 10th Anniversary
International maritime leaders gather in port city Constanta
From 13 – 15 May 2014 the 10th edition of Europort Romania takes place in the countries’ largest port, Constanta. Over the years Europort Romania has gained the position of leading maritime event in Romania. During 3 days some 40 international maritime companies will present their latest products and services in the field of propulsion, automation, deck equipment, integrated bridge management, safety systems, cranes, water treatment, hydraulics, communication systems, electrical systems, ventilation and pumps. Europort Romania will take place in the IDU Hall and can be visited free of charge.
This year, Europort Romania shows a growing international interest with exhibiting companies from The Netherlands, Romania, Spain, Italy, Finland, Norway, Sweden, Germany, Bulgaria, Denmark and Greece. Amongst them are a number of ‘first time’ exhibitors who grant the opportunity to strengthen their business in Romania. SafeTmade Marine Products from Turkey, an innovative company in manufacturing maritime safety units, will amongst others present its exclusive 100 tons Load Test Water Bags for davits and winches. Also new in this years’ edition is The Grab Specialist from The Netherlands, specialized in designing, developing and manufacturing grabs for the dry bulk cargo-, dredging- and recycling industries. TKF B.V., also exhibiting for the first time, is manufacturer of marine and offshore cables, both standard as well as customized cables with approvals of the major classification societies. Turbomed is well known in the international sector o f turbochargers, services and spare parts.
Official opening by Dutch Ambassador
Europort Romania 2014 will be officially opened on Tuesday 13 May at 12.00 hours in the foyer of Tennis Club IDU Constanta. The ceremony will be attended by industry leaders and county officials. Mr. van Bonzel, the Ambassador of the Kingdom of the Netherlands will be present to perform the official ribbon cutting ceremony.
During the week, Europort Romania 2014 will host a wide range of meetings, receptions and networking opportunities. As is tradition the Europort Romania networking reception will take place on the evening of the first exhibition day. On Wednesday 14 May, the Romanian Shipbuilders Association ANCONAV will organise their members meeting and on Thursday 15 May the Black Sea Buyers Meeting is programmed for the first time.
Practical information
Europort Romania is organized by Ahoy Rotterdam in cooperation with the Constanta Chamber of Commerce and the Netherlands Embassy in Bucharest. On Tuesday 13 May the networking event will be open from 12.00 – 17.00 hours. On Wednesday 14 May Europort Romania will be open from 10.00 – 17.00 hours and on Thursday 15 May from 10.00 - 15.00 hours.
