A Chinese cargo ship has sunk off South Korea in the Yellow Sea after colliding with a Greek bulk carrier.

All twelve (12) Chinese crewmembers were rescued by the Panamax Blessing bulker, operated by Cyprus Sea Lines in Athens – the other vessel involved in the collision.

The collision occurred six miles on the Korean peninsula. Panamax Blessing suffered some bow damages.

Chinese Harmony Rise was built in 1991 and was managed by Dalian’s Harmony Growing Ship Management.
