Technicold to Launch Fresh Air Make-Up Unit at FLIBS

Technicold™ by Northern Lights, leading manufacturer of marine heating, ventilation, air conditioning and refrigeration systems, will introduce the Fresh Air Make-Up unit (FAMU) at the 2015 Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show.

With touch-screen simplicity, FAMU provides temperature and humidity control of intake outside fresh air, maximizing Comfort Level Classifications requirements.

Like all Technicold products, FAMU is based on progressive engineering and components specifically designed for the harsh marine environment. An Electrofin (TM) E-Coat coating is applied on the fan coils and blower to maximize corrosion protection, extending coil life 3-5 times longer. FAMU is constructed with robust, marine grade, 16 gauge, 316L stainless steel in the shroud, drip pan and fittings to ensure long life. The two-inch deep drip pans are insulated and serviced by two drains, so condensation never becomes an issue, even in the least hospitable of environs.

The FAMU is engineered for design versatility –Technicold control panels provide intuitive touch-button operation, running the system to achieve intake air temperature and proper humidity levels. Moisture is removed from the air, reducing the dew point and set air temperature. The air is then heat treated to achieve the desired set point. The FAMU is offered in 250CFM, 500CFM, and 1000CFM models. An optional Blue-V antibacterial UVC light is available for further air treatment.
