Phoenix Hires Ed Martin as NDT Manager

Phoenix International Holdings, Inc. (Phoenix) is pleased to announce the hiring of Mr. Ed Martin as Manager of the Phoenix Non-destructive Testing Program (NDT). Ed’s primary duty will be administration of the Phoenix NDT and inspection program, and his secondary duties include marketing and business development for ship and structure inspections (UWILD, DNV programs, etc.). His extensive background in diving, NDT, and training ideally positions Ed to help Phoenix pursue excellence in the commercial and military NDT and inspection arena.
Mr. Martin is an ASNT Level III Examiner / Trainer and has extensive experience in leadership and team development in inspection procedures and personnel qualification for commercial ship’s structures and facilities and U.S. Navy ships and submarines.
Mr. Martin brings a strong background and experience base to Phoenix including five years at the College of Oceaneering’s Inspection and NDT program where he was involved in training on various aspects of surface supplied diving, NDT testing, and report writing. He managed the San Onofre Nuclear Power Plant refueling shut down project for 3 years with over 240 assigned personnel that performed data collection from NDT tests in preparation for replacement or monitoring of high pressure piping. His commercial diving background includes working with several dive companies in the California coastal areas.
