Capesize Sales Jump in 2014

Using their Sales Stats tab VesselsValue.com has graphed the number of capesize bulk carriers sold per year, against their value in USD Millions, back to 2009.  In 2014 so far 50 capesize vessels have been sold for a total of $814 million, compared to in 2010 when 52 were sold all year for a total value of $1843 million. The amount of capesize vessels sold in the first half of 2014 is similar to the entirety of 2010, and more than the entirety of 2011.
