Video: Regal Princess Rescues Two Survivors from Aircraft Crash
On March 5, the cruise ship Regal Princess rescued two survivors from an aircraft crash.
While the Princess was under way for St. Thomas in the U.S. Virgin Islands, she received a notification from the U.S. Coast Guard about a small aircraft crash nearby. The Coast Guard requested her assistance, and she diverted to the scene and launched her rescue boat. Her crew brought aboard two survivors from a small raft. A U.S. Coast Guard aircraft provided aerial surveillance throughout the operation.
