CHIRP Releases Latest Newsletter and Video

CHIRP Maritime has released Maritime Feedback 50 and its latest video broadcast Bulletin 9 - covering topics such as navigation lights and dangerously high platforms on bridge wings.

The CHIRP Charitable Trust promotes maritime and aviation safety by encouraging confidential reports of incidents. Maritime Feedback 50 is the first newsletter of 2018 and contains reports on:

• Rescue boat lifting strops
• Helmsman errors
• Fishing vessels
• Collision avoidance issues
• Main engine failures
• And the perennial topic of poor and dangerously rigged pilot ladders.

Within the next month, Maritime Feedback 50 will be available online in Chinese, Tagalog and for the first time in Dutch.
