Charles Goddard Appointed President and CEO if Marinette Marine Corporation

June 13, 2011 Fincantieri Marine Group announced today that Charles Goddard will take office as President and Chief Executive Officer of Marinette Marine Corporation (MMC), a Fincantieri company.  His headquarters will be located in Marinette, Wis. 

Prior to joining MMC, Goddard was the director of Aegis Program Integration and the lead for the Combat Systems Engineering Agent (CSEA) capture effort at Lockheed Martin. 

Goddard comes to MMC with thirty years of extensive Navy experience within ship systems engineering and program management. During his time with the Navy, he worked on a variety of complex ship programs, culminating in his role as the Navy Program Executive Officer, Ships.

“Goddard’s broad experience in domestic and international program management, coupled with his demonstrated leadership, knowledge and experience, will serve us very well,” said Alberto Maestrini, executive vice president for Fincantieri’s Naval Systems. 

Goddard is a graduate of the U.S. Naval Academy and received a M.S. in Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) and a recipient of the Gold Medal for exceptional technical and program leadership from the American Society of Naval Engineers.
