Angela Thain Joins HVAC & Refrigeration Engineering Ltd
HVAC & Refrigeration Engineering Ltd, a market leading provider of manufacturing, design and engineering services in hazardous and harsh environment products, has appointed a new member to its board of directors as the company looks to maintain its current strong growth.
Angela Thain joins the company board as its projects director and will be responsible for overseeing the successful delivery of all projects the company undertakes.
Joining HVAC & Refrigeration Engineering Ltd with more than ten years industry experience, Angela is looking forward to helping the company continue its stellar growth.
Ms. Thain said: “It is a privilege to join and be appointed to the board of HVAC & Refrigeration Engineering. I have found the company to be very focused and look forward to helping capitalise on the current strong position in our existing markets and further developing our offering internationally, a part of our business that continues to grow.”
Ms. Thain has a BSc (Hons) Design for Industry from RGU and a MSc Industrial Design from Salford University. She is the third woman to join the HVAC & Refrigeration Engineering board of directors after Audrey Davidson, the company’s financial director and Sharon Bell, the company secretary. The HVAC & Refrigeration Engineering board is currently made up of seven people.
The newly appointed board director added: “Attracting more women into the oil and gas industry is very important to me. The industry offers great career opportunities for men and women alike.”
Ms. Thain’s appointment to the board completes a full circle of her time within the industry having secured one of her first jobs with HVAC & Refrigeration Engineering in 2005 as a graduate designer.

HVAC & Refrigeration Engineering recently reported an order book exceeding £14million for the first half of the financial year and a pledge to invest £3million in new custom-built premises.
The company currently employs around 90 people and is anticipating that its head count will grow by 20% during 2014.
