ABN AMRO Announces New Global Head of Energy, in ECT Business
ABN AMRO announces the appointment of Peter Boogers as Global Head of Energy within the bank’s Energy, Commodities & Transportation (ECT) business.
Mr Boogers is promoted from his previous position as Head of Risk Management for the ECT, Real Estate and Project Finance portfolios in ABN AMRO’s Large Corporates & Merchant Banking division. He starts the new role next month and reports to Maarten Terlouw, previously Global Head of Energy and appointed Global Head of ECT in August.
He started his career at MeesPierson in 1995 before joining the Global Energy Group at Fortis (following its acquisition of MeesPierson in 1997) where he worked in a variety of roles in the Netherlands, US and Canada. He joined the new ABN AMRO in 2009 as Head of Credit Risk for Merchant Banking. An MSc graduate in Petroleum Engineering from Delft University, Mr Boogers has an MBA from Rotterdam School of Management and a MSc in Risk Management from New York University’s Stern Business School.
