MetalCraft Marine Celebrates 25th Anniversary

MetalCraft Marine is thrilled to be celebrating its 25th anniversary of building boats along the waterfront of beautiful Kingston, Ontario and would like to welcome everyone in Kingston and the surrounding area to join in this celebration. The company is having an Open House this Friday, September 14th from 1 pm to 4 pm at 347 and 349 Wellington Street and everyone is welcome.
They are proud to be carrying on the boat building tradition that was started on this same site well over 100 years ago. Since then, the materials may have changed, but the passion has stayed the same. This is an excellent opportunity to see first-hand the industry leading boats and meet the very skilled and hard-working designers and craftsmen who build them.
In addition to seeing 70’ class leading fireboat being built for the Port of Houston at a value of $5 million, you will also see boats designed and built for the Panama Canal Authority canal expansion project, Port of San Diego combined police and fire department, as well as several others, including both modern day boats and vessels of historical importance. There will also be displays from major suppliers, including valued local partners as well as companies from across Canada and the United States.
There will also be displays that show how aluminum boats are designed and built, as well as information on a brand new aluminum boat building apprenticeship program; a program which is a North American first.
MetalCraft says it has been a thrilling journey from hull #1 to the most recent hull # 571 and will be honoured to have you join them as they reflect back over the past 25 years and also look at what they are working on for the future.
Again, 347 & 349 Wellington Street on Friday September 14th between 1 pm and 4 pm.
