The Port of Vancouver is Canada’s largest and most diversified port, and the third largest in North America by tonnes of cargo. The Vancouver-gateway handles approximately $240 billion in goods annually with more than 170 world economies. A record total of 147 million metric tonnes moved through the port in 2018, handled by 27 major marine terminals that are served by three Class-I Railways. The Vancouver Fraser Port Authority is the federal agency responsible for the stewardship of the Port of Vancouver.
