International M&A specialist, Benchmark International, has successfully negotiated the sale of Sea Level Marine to the Rheinhold & Mahla Group (R&M).

Based in Miami, FL, Sea Level Marine is a leading provider of cruise ship interior outfitting services. Sea Level has established a reputation for delivering high quality, turn-key construction and joinery for leading cruise lines in dry docks around the world.

The R&M Group is a global provider of maritime interior outfitting solutions for special vessels, cruise ships, ferries, and offshore platforms. R&M was founded in Germany in 1887 and offers a complete range of services including engineering, consulting, design, implementation and production of new builds, conversions, and repairs.

Sea Level shareholder Darelynn Prejean highlights that “clients will benefit through increased efficiencies and cost savings with the assurance that they are receiving the highest quality of work and dedicated customer service on which Sea Level’s reputation was built.”

Thomas Grunwald, President of R&M Ship Technologies USA, adds that “by aligning our resources we can offer clients more in-house fabrication options, combining Sea Level’s established cabinetry shop with R&M Group’s systems and materials services, along with an expanded network of skilled workers across the globe.”

“We are very pleased R&M has agreed to acquire Sea Level,” commented Benchmark Director Rob Di Pano. “Sea Level is a logical addition to the R&M portfolio—with the acquisition, R&M will expand their industry presence through Sea Level’s established workforce and client relationships. As cruise lines continue to consolidate their operations, maritime business are responding accordingly.”
