SNAME Southeast to Hold 2012's First meeting at ZF Marine - January 25th

The Society of Naval Architects and Marine Engineers (SNAME) was organized in 1893 with the goal to advance the art, science, and practice of naval architecture, shipbuilding and marine engineering. Today with more than 8,500 members worldwide SNAME continues its exchange of invaluable information and research amongst the industry and offers educational support and career advancement to its members. The Southeast Section of SNAME includes Florida (east of the panhandle), Georgia and South Carolina and is chaired by Alexandra Anagnostis-Irons, Managing Director of Total Marine Solutions.

Presentation: ZF Marine representatives will introduce this worldwide and very diverse company and then delve into the technical considerations with respect to hull design, CFD analysis, and how this relates to the use of Propulsion Pods in today's vessels.
