“HARDHAT AND A HAMMER”
“Hardhat and a Hammer”, Alan Jackson’s recently released music video, contains footage of Horizon Shipbuilding, Inc. facilities and employees. Several workers were prominently featured in the video. In order of appearance they were: Roderick Jones (Jonesy), William Holmes (Homer), Larry Wilkerson (Uncle Lar), Clay Riva (Catfish), John Forrest, Russell Jones, Adrian Spruel (Seattle), Robert Alexander (Everett), Ryan Reed (Bo- Hippie), Jack Manche, William Stimpson (Dougie), Shirley Manche, Richard Johnson (Crybaby), and Rickey Dearman, Jr. (RJ). Special congratulations are in order for Shauna Harris, who was chosen by the film’s producers as the “working woman” at the end of the video.
“I can’t think of a better illustration of the hard working folks Mr. Jackson describes in his video”, said Travis R. Short, President of Horizon Shipbuilding. “The shipbuilding industry, and Horizon Shipbuilding personnel in particular, exemplify what it means to be a “hardhat and a hammer” kind of person. They work hard and get much less recognition than they deserve. I’m glad Alan Jackson chose our employees to appear in his video. Horizon’s workforce is very excited about it and I’m excited as well.”
