IPhone App For Cruise Line Vacations

Named "Always Be Cruising," its designers call it part fun, part function for fans of cruising.

The free app\ includes not just a countdown to your cruise timer with over 200 ship images, but also a "who is cruising" social feature.

“You can make friends before you even start the cruise by creating your ‘cruiser’ profile,” states Ryan Wahlstrom, founder of Miami-based Cruise Market Watch. “You can find other cruisers and exchange messages and helpful tips with them on your mobile device - from anywhere with wifi or cell connectivity.”

The countdown clock also makes a ship horn sound when launched.

Thomas Troward (1847-1916) said "The law of flotation was not discovered by the contemplation of the sinking of things." And likewise, the idea of creating the first app for cruisers was contemplated early in 2009 by Cruise Market Watch and mPlugged. “Cruisers from around the world are already enjoying its functionality, and providing us with invaluable feedback for future enhancements and features.”
