MITAGS-PMI Announce Introduction to Environmental Regulations in the Marine Industry Course
Seminar is applicable to marine personnel and their shore-side support staff. It is especially useful for senior level management.
Glen Paine, Executive Director of the Maritime Institute of Technology and Graduate Studies (MITAGS) and the Pacific Maritime Institute (PMI) in Seattle, Washington has announced a new seminar (1 or 2 DAYS - 8 hours each - Day 1 is prerequisite for Day 2) designed to address the issues of potential impacts by marine vessels on the environment. This is in response to the number of new regulations coming into force this year and the increasing impact of environmental issues on marine operations. Topics covered include OPA 90, MARPOL, ballast water management, EPA Vessel General Permit, civil and criminal regulations, and environmental management systems. The seminar is applicable to marine personnel and their shore-side support staff. It is especially useful for senior level management.
