Alphatron Marine announced some exciting new developments which will be exhibited at Europort 2015. Previewing at Europort will be some of the world’s most technologically advanced marine electronics and total solution concepts available today. Bridge operations is a key area that we have observed over the last several years where we have seen an immediate application for the joint synergies of Alphatron Marine and JRC. We will showcase three state of the art bridge solutions, driven by the same concept and mindset of harmonizing control and advancing navigation technology.

The first is a unique, fully integrated Alphatron Marine one man bridge with a total of three 46-inch displays for use in semi military and or coastal patrol vessels, combining radar,WECDIS, conning, alarm monitoring and DP data in an easy to use format and where all operating panels are “within reach”. A unique interfacing between thermal camera’s and WECDIS allows full integration with the vessels military equipment.

As a full merchant JRC variant, the second innovative and integrated bridge concept is a derivative of the one men bridge targeted at larger vessels. A total of five 46-inch displays with a center console allows for easy access to maneuvering controls and all other essential operating functions with the added ability to walk around.

The third is a tugboat variant, being the result of a design study together with some of the biggest tugboat operators in the world. This modular tugboat variant ensures all round visibility and ship control without compromise.

At Europort this time we are launching our new digital chart table concept. ECDIS has become a natural product on the bridge and at the same time we are asking ourselves why the good old sea chart was of a certain dimension? Only by answering to plan your route with the greatest overview does this already contribute to the answer we are basing our philosophy on, a dramatically increased display size.

This all new digital chart table consists of a phenomenal 46-inch touch display, known from our premium bridge concept, where routes can be planned on a more realistic “paper chart” scale. The console is designed in our usual trusted way, a natural fit to existing bridge designs. The display can be electronically tilted, allowing optimal routing in an ergonomic way. In addition to the digital chart powered by Navtor, the console incorporates the necessary GMDSS communication equipment, while at the same time leaving room for the paper chart for back up purposes.

We will show the Cobham’s SAILOR VSAT satellite system and Sea Tel TV antenna solutions,Flir’s multi sensor thermal cameras, Cnav’s DGNSS system, Navis compact DP system,Yokogawa PT900 auto pilot and paperless course recorder, Eknis chair with our cabin entertainment system, Panasonic CCTV system and much more.

Further on show will be the JRC Multi-Function Display (MFD) as 19 and 26-inch standalone units. The MFD operating system can simply be used as a basic unit for radar, ECDIS or conning, but can also be used as an upgraded system, extended with the most demanding applications. The MFD also functions as the backbone of the premium bridges.

Other products not to miss include the new AlphaConnect, AlphaAnnounce, various heading solutions including fiber optic and the new AlphaLine Repeater, a new line of instruments providing a clear overview on the bridge that enable straightforward operation via touch.

The AlphaLine Repeater is available in three variants with respect to screen size, with 5-inch, 6.5-inch and 8.4-inch, which will form the base of a full range of new navigation and communication products to be launched in the coming years.

Meet us in hall 3, stand number 3405.
