Texas-based Delta Subsea has released a walk-through video of the latest vessel to enter its fleet. The Olympic Delta is 94 meter (308 feet) multipurpose subsea support and construction vessel named on July 4 at a ceremony in Fosnavåg, organized by Norway’s Kleven Verft and Olympic Shipping.

The Olympic Delta has a diesel electric propulsion system with azimuth thrusters. It is designed for low fuel consumption and has excellent sea and station keeping performance. The vessel also has a NOx cleaning system capable of reducing emissions of NOx up to 95 percent.

Olympic Delta is equipped with an active heave compensated 80t subsea crane and has wire capacity of 2500 meters. The work deck is 900 square meters, and the vessel will be equipped with two ROVs. It has accommodation for 80 people.

Olympic Shipping and Delta Subsea will jointly market the MT 6021 MKII-design vessel to clients for subsea and inspection, maintenance and repair work in both the oil and gas and renewables sectors.
