SNAME Dinner to be Hosted by Wartsila North America

Presentation by Leo Schnellman on "Two and Four Stroke Engine Technology" will highlight the event.

Wartsila North America is hosting a SNAME dinner on Thursday, May 21st at 6:00pm on "Two and Four Stroke Engine Technology" presented by Leo Schnellman. During the presentation, Leo will share his extensive history in the development and application of 2-Stroke engine technology and some 4-Stroke from experiences around the world. This presentation will be for all audiences, technical and non-technical alike, to learn more about these amazing machines such as the 108,000 hp Wartsila 14RT-Flex96 installed on the Emma Maersk. Leo began his career working for Sulzer Brothers in Switzerland, a company Rudolph diesel worked for in the 1879 and to whom many of us owe our livelihoods to! Guests will be free to explore the various training engines and control room simulators.

Hors d'œuvres and cash bar will be offered.

Attendance is $20 SNAME members, $25 non-SNAME members and $10 students.
