Mercy Ships: A Letter from President & Founder, Don Stephens

Since arriving in Sierra Leone, our volunteer crew of doctors, nurses and support staff have:

• Screened 2,218 dental patients at the clinic site and conducted 7257 procedures
• Screened 1,789 eye patients and performed surgery on 76 patients
• Performed 34 general surgery procedures
• Performed 105 maxillo-facial surgeries
• Performed orthopedic surgeries and procedures on 129 patients (already at 137% of expected outputs)

And this is just the 2nd month of our 10-month Field Service!
