The 30th International WISTA Conference

WISTA Hellas (Women's International Shipping & Trading Association) will proudly host the 30th International WISTA Conference

"Achieving Sustainability - Paving the Way to Shipping Excellence"

The event will take place in Athens at the DIVANI APOLLON PALACE & SPA, in Vouliagmeni, from Wednesday, 29th September, to Friday, 1st October 2010.

WISTA Hellas was established back in 1993 and consists of women in management level positions in the shipping sector. It is a member of WISTA International, the holding association, founded in London in 1974 currently consisting of 28 member-countries and more than 1,200 individual members.

Through this Conference, WISTA aims to promote the scopes of the organization, giving support to and facilitating the exchange of contacts and experience amongst its members and the international shipping community. Also, the Conference’s main target is to continue its educative role, expand the networking opportunities as well as dominate its role as being the center for the exchange of information among its members.

After the successful 2009 Conference held at the headquarters of the IMO in London, WISTA Hellas is ready to host some 300 participants from around the world, offering them a unique chance to listen to internationally recognized speakers, exchange ideas with experts and decision-makers of the maritime industry and explore the possibilities of new business opportunities.

At this point, we are proud to confirm that Mr. Efthimios E. Mitropoulos, Secretary General of IMO, will participate to the Conference as a keynote speaker.
